Program Overview
In our Data Tech for Jobs program, we prepare you to become a Data Center Technician and Server Technician who can install, upgrade, and troubleshoot physical servers, storage, and networking equipment while configuring, securing, and supporting enterprise server environments.
This program is designed for career changers and entry‑level tech professionals who want a solid foundation in IT infrastructure, networking, and enterprise server technologies—while preparing for the CompTIA Server+ certification. We balance live instruction with practical, hands‑on labs, and the program culminates in a 2‑day in‑person intensive on enterprise‑grade gear.
Throughout our program, students get hands‑on experience with rack‑mounted equipment, cabling, RAID, power systems, and virtualization platforms in on‑prem and virtualized environments.
After your intensive you will be able to:
- Install and configure server OS/apps
- Rack, cable, and power servers; manage cooling
- Set up out of band management; maintain hardware
- Configure and recover RAID; update firmware
- Manage users, MFA, and permissions
- Patch and harden servers
- Troubleshoot power, hardware, OS, and network
- Deploy and recover VMs
- Prepare for CompTIA Server+

Live classes run Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 7–9 PM Eastern. Plan for practice outside class.
How long is the program?
Twelve weeks of live classes plus a two-day intensive. Total of eighty-eight hours.
Where is the in-person intensive held?
Silver Spring, Maryland; Chandler, Arizona; or Irving, Texas. You work on real racks and real gear.
What will I do during the intensive?
Cabling and power, part swaps, and a rack-down scenario. You will also do minimum-config bring-up, firmware updates, RAID, and network tests.
Do I need my own lab gear?
Bring a reliable computer and internet for live sessions. The intensive provides access to physical equipment.
Is there certification prep?
Yes, a dedicated Server + prep week. You review key topics and practice with guidance.
Is the exam voucher included?
No, exam vouchers are not in your tuition.
What support do I get outside of class?
